"Man can do what he wills but he cannot will what he wills.” — German philosopher and big free will hater Arthur Schopenhauer, but also Colorado weather, probably.
If you think your calendar is totally open for the weekend, but an incoming snowstorm has some strong suggestions.
Saturday is a strong contender for your "do something weekendy" options. In Denver and across the Front Range, it'll be sunny, clear and maybe even hit highs in the low 70s, according to the National Weather Service.
But starting around midnight (spooky!), that's all going to change. Winds will pick up, gusting as high as 20-plus miles per hour. Rain will become snow as temperatures drop to the mid-20s.
Snow will continue through Sunday, accumulating between 2-6 inches up and down the Front Range.
So by your own choice (or is it?), you may find yourself abandoning brunch plans and lists of errands to stay home instead. Just hanging out, staying warm and promising yourself, "I chose to do this. I'm in control."
Sure, Humes.
