Multiple police responded to the University of Colorado Boulder's campus on Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, after a possible swatting incident that forced CU on a temporary campus-wide shelter-in-place.

Police said Sewell Hall and Norlin Library have been cleared. The campus shelter-in-place order was removed at 5:40 p.m. However, the library will remain closed overnight and open to normal business hours in the morning.

"Anyone who left personal property inside Norlin Library should meet CUPD officers at the east side doors of the library to be escorted inside and retrieve their belongings between 8:30 and 11 p.m. this evening," CU Police said. "If you are unable to retrieve your belongings tonight, go to the security office located at room M298 on the second floor of Norlin Library during normal business hours tomorrow."
