In partnership with Converge Lecture Series, 91.5 KRCC presents a new podcast dedicated to exploring big ideas with some of the biggest writers and thinkers around.
Founded in 2017, Converge Lecture Series brings world-renowned writers to Colorado Springs to speak about their work and to share their reflections on art, life, and the topic of "moral beauty." In the coming year, Converge will host George Saunders, Junot Diaz, Edwidge Danticat, and Richard Blanco for lectures at the Pinery at the Hill.
On this podcast, we have the opportunity to sit down with these writers to discuss the matter of "what we are and what we are doing and what we ought to do," in the words of essayist and novelist Marilynne Robinson.
In this introduction to the podcast, we speak with Converge Lecture Series founder Sam Stephenson about his interest in literature, and how he hopes Converge will impact the culture of Colorado Springs.
