Students in Colorado are getting ready to trash the runway -- on purpose. They're learning about fashion and sustainability by using trash, and only trash, to create high-end designs. Colorado Matters host Chandra Thomas Whitfield spoke with Tanja Leonard, who oversees the nonprofit that runs the "Trash The Runway" event taking place Thursday, February 27 at Macky Auditorium Concert Hall in Boulder. She also spoke with India Kirtland, a sophomore at Boulder High School who has competed in the event since 2023.
