
Before the COVID pandemic, a story about a virus wiping out the world's population felt more fiction than science. But reading 2012's "The Dog Stars" today feels downright prophetic... no doubt one reason Colorado author Peter Heller's novel which is set on the Front Range, has become a major motion picture, directed by Ridley Scott. It stars Jacob Elordi, Margaret Qualley, Josh Brolin and Benedict Wong and is scheduled to hit the big screen in August.
