HER CAMPAIGN HUMAN TRAFFICKING SURVIVOR SHELTER

Helping survivors of human trafficking reclaim their lives

Sex trafficking remains a growing problem in Colorado. Our state now ranks 10th for the most reported cases. A new shelter that helps survivors escape and process their trauma opened in a community south of Denver in January. CPR’s Elaine Tassy visited the home, and she also spoke with a survivor of human trafficking, Rebekah Layton who’s now a subject matter expert who works in victim advocacy, research, and public policy.
